Calling Name Delivery presents a display name for the calling party at the terminating set. Classic wireline dips query a CNAM/LIDB database over SS7 TCAP; VoIP and STIR/SHAKEN paths often map the same concept into SIP From/P-Asserted-Identity or verstat. Presentation and screening interact with privacy (IPR) and carrier CNAM contracts.
