Signalling Connection Control Part
SS7 connectionless and connection-oriented transport with global title translation (GTT) for number-based routing. It underpins TCAP and many mobile application parts via subsystem numbers (SSN). Classes 0/1 are connectionless; classes 2/3 add connections and flow control.
