GPUDirect Storage
GDS
GPUDirect Storage (GDS) provides a direct DMA path between NVMe and GPU memory, skipping host bounce buffers. Filesystem and driver support plus correctly registered buffers are required. It accelerates data ingest for training and high-throughput inference feature pipelines.
