ISO-TP segmentation

  1. 1

    First Frame (FF)

    Sender starts multi-frame: PCI=1, 12-bit length + first data bytes.

  2. 2

    Flow Control (FC)

    Receiver replies CTS/WAIT/OVFLW with BS and STmin.

  3. 3

    Consecutive Frame (CF) #1

    PCI=2, SN=1, next payload chunk after STmin gap.

  4. 4

    CF continues

    Sequence numbers wrap 0–15 until full N_PDU delivered.

  5. 5

    Assemble UDS

    Receiver concatenates FF+CF data into the diagnostic request/response.
